G-1 Eminem

Lets be honest here, everyone knows Eminem. Weather you love him or hate him you know who he is. Or you know "Marshall Mathers", or "Slim Shady. Unless you were seriously deprived or sheltered as a child you have heard a song by him. I personally think that Eminem is one of the most influential, well known Rappers of all time. His first album, "Infinite" is not too well known by the general public. Even people who claim to be massive Eminem fans have never even heard of the album. It was recorded in the "Bass Brothers" studio which was called "The Bassmint". A good name for a studio in a lower class apartment complexes basement. His rapping style was incredibly
direct, and even from the beginning he has been extremely advanced in his technique and flow. Since "Infinite" has come out in 1996, Eminem has released many more studio albums as well as being featured on multiple rappers albums and mixtapes.  From 1996 when "Infinite" to "Recovery" in 2010 you can hear him grow as you listen to his music. Lyrically, technically, and mentally. Every album is a phenomenal, emotional, anger filled story. Not all of his songs are hate filled, but a good portion. When I say "hate filled" that doesn't limit it to simply hatred. A lot of it stems from his childhood. In those hate filled lyrics, you hear a lot of sadness, and depression. Parents used to be upset when they found out that their children were listening to this music. During his career as an artist, he has dealt with many addictions, and being as famous as he is, the paparazzi took complete advantage of this. At his weakest point, he stopped making music because he was on the verge of death. Eventually he got the help he needed and started making music again. He released "Recovery" which was a change of pace for him. People are so used to hearing these emotionally infused lyrics about his childhood and how angry he was. People could relate. On "Recovery", their wasn't much of that, if any. I personally didn't like it. It was not the Eminem that I and every other fan grew up listening too. With his new single "Berzerk" though, I am getting more excited by the day for his new album "The Marshall Mathers 2". He is getting back to his old ways of not caring what anybody thinks about his music and simply telling it like it is. Eminem has also done some side projects, like "D12", and "Bad Meets Evil". Eminem will forever be remembered as one of the greatest rappers of all time, lyrically, and musically.
