H-1 A Day to Remember

A day to Remember is one of my favorite hardcore, metal bands. Formed in early 2003 in Ocala, Flordia by lead singer Jeremy Mckinnon. Soon after making a name for themselves on the "DIY tour" playing over two hundred shows they were signed to Indianola Records. After getting an actual record deal they recorded their first full length album titled "And Their Name Was Treason". The album was released in 2005 and sold only eight thousand copies from word of mouth only, but the band was not discouraged because they knew that bigger and better things were coming for them. In 2007, the band left Indianola records and signed to Victory. A more well known label that would help spread their name. The bands second studio album was titled "For Those Who Have Heart", and was released in January of 2007. The album got to number Forty-three on billboards "Top Independent Albums" chart.  The band then toured the United Kingdom for the first time. They were later nominated for "Best International Newcomer" award.  Around this time, the band continued to gain notoriety in the hardcore scene. They were being invited to play on Vans Warped Tour, Riot Fest, Bamboozled, and other tours. The tours were not limited to the United States either, they toured Australia, and the UK many times. Throughout this time, they were working on another full length album. The album came out in February of 2009. It was titled "Homesick". The album was the bands most widely accepted album, by life time fans, and music critics. The album was not as "heavy" as their first two, but the lifetime fans were okay with it. How is a band supposed to musically grow if they do not experiment? in 2012, the album "What Separates Me From You" was released under victory records. The album was not the greatest rated album the band has put out, but the real fans of the band loved it. I personally love A Day To Remember and I am always looking for new releases by them.
